Her passion for dentistry began early in her childhood as Dr. Skelton would watch her father work as a master ceramist. Being so close to her father’s work, she met amazing dentists and began to see them perform wonderful transformations of people’s smiles. Along with an early positive perspective of dentists, Dr. Skelton also loved studying sciences which propelled her to graduate from Andrews University with a Bachelor in Biology. She then continued on to earn her DDS from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry.
Another force that drove Dr. Skelton’s career forward was her desire for human interaction and effective communication. She believes that a large portion of dentistry is being able to communicate freely with patients in a way that truly allows them to understand the complexities of dental work and oral health. Along with effective communication and an innate desire to help others, Dr. Skelton prides herself on her ability to continually strive for the absolute best, not only for herself and her patients, but also for the study of dentistry.
Although she currently resides in Folsom, CA, Dr. Skelton has lived in several cities throughout the United States. She has always enjoyed traveling, exploring new towns, and going on guided walks. When she’s not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her two daughters, and her two dogs.

Erica Hsiao, DDS, MS is excited to join Folsom Dental Esthetics. She received her doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry where she became interested in periodontics, regeneration, and dental implants. This resulted in a move to Chicago where she obtained her Master’s degree and Certificate in Periodontics and Dental Implants at University of Illinois, Chicago. Soon after, Dr. Hsiao became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, the only specialty board certification in periodontics and dental implant surgery.
Dr. Hsiao is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Sacramento District Dental Society. She has volunteered her dental services abroad in Honduras, taught General Practice Residents as their staff attending periodontist, and worked to improve the oral health of our Veterans at the VA Northern California McClellan Dental Service.
Dr. Hsiao values her patient interactions and looks forward to listening, communicating, and educating each of her patients in order to work together to restore periodontal health and oral function.

Our passionate team is dedicated to giving all our patients the care and comfort that makes receiving treatment at our practice so great. Our smiling front office team is always helpful and full of the warmth and compassion that make our patients feel relaxed and comfortable. Our dental assistants and hygienists are highly skilled, eager to understand our patients’ needs, and always aim for perfection. Teamwork, communication, and care are the pillars that our practice is built on.
Heather has enjoyed working in the dental field for almost 30 years. Since childhood, Heather knew she eventuallywanted to become a Registered Dental Hygienist. After working as a dental assistant for many years, Heather took a detour and got her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology at SDSU. She used that degree to work in pharmaceuticals. Ultimately, Heather missed dentistry andenrolled in the SacramentoCity College Dental Hygiene program. She graduated in 2012, and became a hygienist. Heather’s goal is to have patients feel comfortable in the dental chair, while leaving feeling educated, and not lectured about their oral health. In her spare time Heather loves volunteering with foundations that provide free dental care in her community, and has a vision of someday volunteering with organizations on an international level. Heather is a proud wife and mother of three children. Beaching and paddle boarding in the summer months, and snowboarding in the winter are among her families’ favorite activities.
Originally from Huntington Beach California, Melissa moved to the Sacramento area in 2004. She has been in the dental field for the last nineteen years and absolutely loves what she does. During this time in her career, Melissa has been able to sharpen her skill set by working in most of the specialty fields. The in-depth knowledge she has gained in oral surgery, periodontics, and pediatric dentistry is invaluable when it comes to helping patients understand the depth of the procedures, the options available in dentistry, and the specific care that has been recommended to them. Melissa is most grateful for all of the wonderful relationships she been able to develop with patients over the years. She has enjoyed getting to know them, and hearing all about their life’s experiences. Being a mother of three, and two German shepherds, in her off time she enjoys spending time with family, walking scenic trails, and collecting crystals.

Office Manager
Kelly has always had a passion for helping others. After completing her training as a Registered Dental Assistant, she realized that dentistry would fulfill that lifelong passion. Now with over 30 years in the field, Kelly uses her experience to help patients achieve optimum dental health. Understanding that communication is key, she provides a feeling of ease and comfort to patients while navigating the complex waters of insurance and financial needs. Kelly loves being a part of this team because they all share the same vision: to help others, develop lasting relationships, and provide excellent care to each and every patient. In her free time, Kelly enjoys traveling, gardening, volunteering ,and spending time with her loved ones.

Lena is from California and has been here her whole life. She has always been interested in the dental field and finally decided to pursue it. She is loving her role as a Registered Dental Assistant, and enjoys every part of it. Her favorite part is being able to meet so many different people, getting to know them, and being able to help them with their dental care. Lena is extremely close with her family and loves spending time with them. She loves going on weekend trips to the beach and exploring new places.

Cynthia has found a home at Folsom Dental Esthetics. She received her degree from Chabot Dental Hygiene school in Hayward. She is still enjoying working as a hygienist after 22 years in the dental field. She loves guiding patients toward their dental wellness and helping them fulfill their dental needs. When she is not working, she likes taking walks and having lunch with her husband. She and Dave share three amazing children - one boy and twin girls. She also loves baking, cooking, and watching home shows on remodeling.

Raised in Orangevale, Debbie followed her passion for oral health care by attending American River College and completing her Bachelor’s degree at the University of South Dakota. As a dedicated hygienist since 1976, Debbie’s true passion is helping her patients take great care of their teeth so they can have strong oral hygiene for life. Her three children and five grandkids keep her smiling, but if you ask her where her favorite place is, it would be Disneyland! When she isn’t keeping your teeth in tip-top shape, Debbie enjoys gardening, sewing, crafts and of course, spending time with her family.

Hailey’s dental journey began in 2017 at Folsom Dental Esthetics, and her love for dentistry and patient care have only grown since. Hailey has provided exceptional service to individuals in various industries for over twelve years. Her kind, inclusive spirit encourages patients to feel welcomed, understood, and informed. Having used invisalign herself, she knows what a transformed smile feels like, and is always willing to share her experience with others. When she is out of the office, Hailey loves spending time creating delicious food, enjoying California’s beautiful mountains and oceans with her daughter and loved ones.
As you walk through our doors, you’ll be greeted with a warm smile and helpful assistance from our front office team. They can answer any questions about our office, your necessary paperwork, insurance benefits, and the services we provide. While you’re waiting for your appointment, you can relax with a cold beverage while listening to soothing music on Pandora. Once your appointment time has begun,, one of our friendly team members will bring you into the operatory where our dental hygienist will take photos and x-rays. Dr. Skelton will then conduct a comprehensive oral exam and discuss the state of your oral health. Any issues or findings will be explained by Dr. Skelton, and she will recommend a treatment plan if necessary. Also, if you are unhappy with your smile, Dr. Skelton will take the time to discuss elective treatments that will help. Any questions or concerns will be answered or explained so that both you and Dr. Skelton are on the same page about your dental health.
